Job summary
A prominent accounting firm in Gqeberha is seeking a Junior Accountant to manage a portfolio of clients, including individuals, trust companies, and close corporations. The role involves various engagements, including compilation, independent reviews, and accounting officer responsibilities. Ideal candidates should hold a BCom in Financial Accounting with strong communication skills and knowledge of accounting packages like Caseware. This position offers an opportunity for professional growth in a reputable firm.
Qualifications
- Good communication skills, internal and external, both written and verbal.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for a portfolio of clients (individuals, trust companies, and cc's).
- Perform Compilation Engagements in terms of ISRS 4410.
- Conduct Independent Review Engagements in terms of ISRE 2400.
- Handle Accounting Officer Engagements under the Close Corporations Act.
- Prepare, process, and maintain accounting records for various companies and trusts.
- Balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of audit files.
