Job summary

Our client in Krugersdorp seeks a Zone controller to coordinate staffing for client operations. You will meet with clients to define needs, plan placements with the operations team, and ensure all staff have valid contracts and licenses.

You will also manage on-site supervision, attendance, and documentation, while handling PPE and toolbox talks as required. The role requiresMatric and a valid license, with the ability to stay in the surrounding area and ready to work on-site.

Qualifications

• Matric and a valid driver's license are required.
• Must reside in the surrounding area.
• Experience coordinating staff placements and on-site supervision is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to determine operational needs and plan staff placements.
• Ensure all placed staff have valid contracts and licenses.
• Manage on-site supervision and staff movements.
• Execute daily head counts and timesheet submissions within 48 hours.
• Load staff into biometrics system and manage payslip/wage queries.

Job description

Our client based in Krugersdorp is looking for a Zone controller.

Duties

• Meet with clients to determine their operational needs
• Plan staff placements with clients and the operations team.
• Ensure all placed staff have a valid contract
• Ensure all placed drivers and operators have valid certificates and licenses
• Ensure that staff requested by the client have arrived, and if there is an on-site supervisor, that he understands all requirements and staff movement
• Ensure that the evening shift that finishes at 10pm are from the same area to allow for easier transport arrangements
• Ensure that the SPS is signed by the client and returned to the Operations Admin Clerk
• Load new employees onto the biometrics system and explain the procedure to the employee
• Download biometrics data onto a USB on a weekly basis
• Ensure daily head counts are supplied with time sheet numbers and all required information pertaining to the headcounts SOP to the Admin Clerk
• Ensure that the timesheets are received and submitted timeously (within 48hrs of staff placement) and handled correctly
• Enter handover detail in the handover book before the end of each shift
• Information required includes:
  • All night shift collections
  • All special instructions
  • Any problems the next shift needs to be aware of
• Ensure that payslips are handled efficiently and confidentially
• Ensure that all wage queries are dealt with correctly and timeously
• Resolve any on-site problems and pay queries
• Supply the Booking Clerk with database information per site and job function on a weekly basis
• Conduct toolbox talks daily
• Order and distribute the necessary PPE stock timeously
• Carry out PPE inspections daily on each site

INJURY ON DUTY (I.O.D.)

• Ensure that the Health and Safety department is made aware immediately of any incidents.
• Ensure all relevant documents required are easily accessible to the Health and Safety department.
• Ensure WCL2 documents are up to date to enable staff to be placed on site.
