• Conduct regular assessments of program effectiveness and participant progress.
• Promote participation in sports programs within local schools and communities.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all young participants.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including parents, school administrators, and community leaders, to support youth development initiatives.
• Manage program budgets, including equipment procurement and facility bookings.
• Identify and nurture talented young athletes, providing pathways for further development.

About the Role

Our client, a community-focused sports organization based in Vereeniging, Gauteng , is seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Sports Development Officer. This vital role is responsible for creating, implementing, and overseeing programs designed to promote physical activity, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyles among young people. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child development, various sports, and effective coaching methodologies for youth. You will work closely with local schools, community centers, and sports clubs to foster participation and talent identification. We are looking for an energetic individual with excellent communication and leadership skills, committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children and adolescents in the Vereeniging area. This role is central to building a strong foundation for future sporting talent and community well-being.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Excellent organizational, planning, and event management skills.
• Superior communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
• Experience in volunteer management and community engagement.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Vereeniging region.
• First Aid and CPR certification is required.
• A genuine passion for youth development and sports is essential.
