Placements24 in Durban is seeking a Youth Programs Coordinator to lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of youth initiatives, including workshops, mentorship programs, and recreational events, in collaboration with schools and community partners.

The role focuses on empowering young people aged 12–18 through engaging activities, capacity-building, and safe, inclusive programs. You will recruit and train volunteers, manage budgets, and measure outcomes to maximize positive community impact.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in youth work, program coordination, or related field.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and deliver engaging programs and activities for youth aged 12-18.
• Coordinate with schools and community centers in Durban to facilitate program access.
• Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers and mentors involved in youth programs.
• Develop program materials, curricula, and resources tailored to youth needs and interests.
• Manage program budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with youth participants, their families, and community stakeholders.
