You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising a range of activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all participants. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor youth participants, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants at all times.
• Build positive relationships with youth, parents/guardians, and school staff.
• Collaborate with team members to develop innovative program content and strategies.
• Maintain attendance records and basic program documentation.
• Assist in promoting the program to potential participants and the wider community.
• Manage program resources and materials effectively.
• Identify and respond to the needs of individual youth participants.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the after-school program.

Requirements

• Experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in an educational, recreational, or community program setting.
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent development.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and group facilitation skills.
• Creative and enthusiastic personality with a passion for youth development.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable and punctual with strong time-management skills.
• Basic knowledge of organizing and leading activities such as sports, arts, or academic support.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and provide references.
• Availability to work afternoons during school terms, with potential for some school holiday programming.
