Placements24 is seeking an experienced Social Worker specializing in Youth Development in Cape Town, Western Cape. The role involves engaging with young people from diverse backgrounds and implementing programs focused on education, skills development, mental health, and community engagement.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor\'s degree in Social Work, SACSSP registration, at least 3 years of youth experience, and strong counseling, facilitation and case-management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field.
• Registered with the SACSSP.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience working with youth.
• In-depth knowledge of youth development, adolescent psychology and social issues.
• Excellent counseling, facilitation and case management skills.
• Proficiency in report writing and record-keeping.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Assess youths' needs and create individualized support plans.
• Lead group sessions and workshops on life skills and career guidance.
• Provide individual counseling and case management for youth.
• Link youth to education, training, and mental health resources.
• Develop and run engaging youth development programs.
• Collaborate with schools, families, and community stakeholders.
• Maintain confidential client records and prepare progress reports.
• Advocate for youth rights within communities.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development.
• Contribute to program evaluation and organizational development.
