Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Education, Community Development, or a related field.
• Master's degree is an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, preferably in youth development or community sector.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing youth-focused programs in Durban or similar contexts.
• Strong understanding of the social, economic, and educational challenges facing youth in KwaZulu-Natal.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management, budgeting, and reporting.
• Experience in monitoring and evaluation of programs.
• Strong networking and partnership-building capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A commitment to youth empowerment and social change.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the strategic planning, development, and execution of youth development programs.
• Manage program budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and financial accountability.
• Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess program impact and outcomes.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with community partners, schools, and youth organizations in Durban.
• Recruit, train, and supervise program staff and volunteers.
• Identify funding opportunities and contribute to grant writing and fundraising efforts.
• Organize and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and events for youth participants.
• Ensure programs are inclusive, culturally sensitive, and responsive to the evolving needs of young people.
• Represent the organization at community forums and stakeholder meetings.
• Stay abreast of best practices and emerging trends in youth development and social work.
