Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, education, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of youth experience in camp, school, or recreational settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Background check and drug test required.

• Serve as a positive role model and promote constructive behavior.
• Keep youth spaces clean and hygienic in line with guidelines.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate activities for youth ages 3-17, including games, sports, arts and crafts, and educational programs
• Supervise and monitor youth activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants
• Build positive relationships with youth and their families, providing emotional support and guidance as needed
• Collaborate with other youth counselors and crew members to plan and execute ship-wide events and activities
• Maintain accurate records of youth participation and behavior, and report any concerns to the Youth Program Manager
• Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols, as well as company policies and procedures
• Attend mandatory training sessions and meetings to stay updated on company policies, procedures, and best practices
• Assist with the organization and setup of youth program areas and supplies
• Act as a role model for youth, promoting positive values and behavior at all times
• Maintain a clean and organized youth program area, following all sanitation and hygiene guidelines

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, education, or a related field
