Job summary

ABInBev Africa in Pretoria seeks a Yeast Propagation Specialist to manage the operational and technical aspects of yeast propagation within the brewery cellars, ensuring compliance with SAB Ltd and global brewing standards.

You will oversee yeast storage, wort and fermentation processes, microbiology, and lead CIP/hygiene while coaching the team to maintain quality and efficiency in line with production schedules.

Qualifications

• BSc in Biological Sciences, Chemistry or Chem Eng or equivalent B.Tech degree.
• Must have completed SAB Ltd Brewing traineeship.
• In-depth knowledge of SWP and VPO, problem solving methodologies and QMS.
• Knowledge of production planning processes and NOSA Standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end yeast propagation in line with business requirements.
• Manage yeast storage, handling and coach others to requirements thereof.
• Oversee wort, yeast, water and fermentation process; microbiology.
• Lead and champion yeast room CIP and hygiene; drive technical projects.
