Job summary

JVR Software in Pretoria is seeking a dedicated Junior Accountant with at least 5 years of accounting experience. You will manage creditors, debtors, VAT, financials, and cash flow, with hands-on use of Xero accounting software.

You will assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, budgeting, stock control, and payroll support, while maintaining meticulous records and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Xero accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage creditors and debtors, ensuring timely payments.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Prepare VAT returns and ensure tax compliance.
• Support costing models and budgeting processes.
• Monitor cash flow and forecast liquidity needs.
• Participate in periodic stock takes and reconciliation.
• Assist payroll processing and payee records.
• Daily use of Xero for recording and reporting.
• Maintain organized finance records and administrative tasks.
