Job summary

Red Ember Recruitment (PTY) Ltd is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to oversee daily workshop operations, lead service staff, and drive service solutions. The role focuses on maintaining efficiency, quality standards, and strong customer relations within a busy automotive service environment.

You will coordinate with Parts and Safety teams, manage WIP, and contribute to continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with HSE and dealer standards.

Qualifications

• Matric with at least 5 years of experience in a similar workshop management role.
• Strong planning and leadership skills.
• Diesel Certificate and Code 14 licence.
• Read and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily workshop operations and lead service staff and sales personnel.
• Minimise WIP and monitor hours sold and parts availability.
• Develop, implement and monitor standards, routines and cleanliness in the workshop.
• Coordinate spare parts with Parts Manager and ensure service exchange and warranty parts procedures.
• Attend meetings with key customers and contribute to service solutions sales.
• Monitor KPIs, costs, budget, and overall workshop performance.
