Job summary

Scania South Africa is seeking a Workshop Foreman to lead the direct workshop work and supervise daily staff activities in Middelburg. You will ensure work follows Scania standards, policies and SHEQ directives while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

The role requires a qualified Diesel Technician with a Trade certificate, 3–5 years in a workshop, a valid Heavy Vehicle licence, and competency in MS Office and Scania systems.

Qualifications

• Qualified Diesel Technician with Trade certificate.
• 3–5 years of technical workshop experience; supervising/team-leader background is advantageous.
• Valid Heavy Vehicle licence.
• Medically fit and able to work in a workshop environment.

They need to ensure that the work is carried out according to applicable instructions, rational and economic way for both the customer and the company. Ensuring high level of customer satisfaction is met consistently. Ensure relevant technical literature is in place providing guidance where required. - Ensure that Technicians comply with Scania Standards. - Ensure necessary control of workshop equipment, vehicles and special tools. - Observe and follow directives given in policies, instructions as well as SHEQ. Address any issues of poor workmanship immediately. - End to end management of team assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• Qualified Diesel Technician with Trade certificate
• 3-5 years technical workshop experience, of which experience in supervising/Team Leader in a workshop environment would be an added advantage.

• Medically Fit
