Job summary

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a passionate Wine Steward to join a prestigious luxury boutique hotel in Cape Town.

You will support the Sommelier team in managing, presenting, and serving the hotel’s exceptional wine programme across restaurants, private dining, and events.

WSET Level 1 or 2 (or currently studying), strong guest service and communication skills, and a calm, organised approach under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• WSET Level 1 or 2 (or currently studying).
• Strong communication, presentation, and guest service skills.
• Calm, organised and enthusiastic under pressure.
• Clean disciplinary and strong attendance record.
• Genuine passion for wine and beverage service.

Responsibilities

• Support the Sommelier team in managing, presenting, and serving the hotel's wine programme across restaurants, private dining, and events.
• Assist with cellar organisation and stock control.
• Deliver seamless, knowledgeable wine service and guest recommendations.
