Job summary

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a passionate Wine Steward to join a prestigious luxury boutique hotel in Cape Town.

You will support the Sommelier team in managing, presenting, and serving the hotel’s exceptional wine programme across restaurants, private dining, and events.

WSET Level 1 or 2 (or currently studying), strong guest service and communication skills, and a calm, organised approach under pressure are essential.

Kendrick Recruitment is on the hunt for a passionate Wine Steward to join a prestigious luxury boutique hotel in Cape Town. This is your chance to be part of a team delivering exceptional, personalised wine experiences to discerning guests, all within a refined and inspiring environment.

What’s on offer:

• Medical Aid: 50% contribution (main member only, Discovery Health - Key Care plan)
• Pension: 6% contribution, both ways (Momentum)
• Gratuity: Paid monthly in arrears
• Shift Work: Early (06:30-15:30) / Late (14:00-23:00) / Night (22:00-07:00)

The Role:

As Wine Steward, you’ll support the Sommelier team in managing, presenting, and serving the hotel’s exceptional wine programme. Your expertise and enthusiasm will help deliver seamless, knowledgeable, and refined service across restaurants, private dining, and events. You’ll also assist with cellar organisation, stock control, and guest recommendations- ensuring every wine experience is memorable.
