Job summary

Phoenix Recruitment Limited seeks a friendly hostess for a busy Stellenbosch venue. You will welcome guests, coordinate seating, manage reservations, and assist staff during service.

The ideal candidate should have Grade 12, hospitality awareness, and strong communication. You should be well-presented, resilient under pressure, and able to thrive in a team during evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 completed; hospitality certificate is a plus.
• Preferably 1–2 years hostess experience.
• Understanding of restaurant etiquette.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
• Experience in managing reservations.
• Able to work in a team.
• Demonstrable customer-service skills.
• Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person).
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area.
• Availability to work within opening hours (e.g. evenings, public holidays, weekends).
• Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift.
• Comfortable in dealing with very distinguished clientele.
• Able to handle high a pressure environment.
• Must be well-presented.
