Job summary

Exceed Human Resource Consultants in Stellenbosch is seeking a senior marketing leader to drive the brand and marketing strategy across a premium wine portfolio. You will shape positioning, develop campaigns, and translate strategy into measurable commercial results.

Lead and develop a Marketing team, manage agencies and budgets, and collaborate with the CEO and SLT on strategic priorities. Regular travel to farms, Gauteng and international markets will be required to strengthen the portfolio

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years senior marketing experience.
• Experience in premium wine, hospitality, premium consumer goods or B2B branding.
• Strong portfolio and brand management experience.
• Deep knowledge of SA wine industry, provenance and terroir.
• Experience in domestic and international markets.
• Proven ability to translate strategy into campaigns with measurable results.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Experience managing agencies and external partners.
• Strong budget management and commercial awareness.
• Excellent stakeholder management and strategic thinking.
• Based at Stellenbosch with willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall brand and marketing strategy across premium wine brands.
• Develop and execute marketing strategies across local and international markets.
• Strengthen brand positioning, portfolio strategy and long-term brand equity.
• Translate brand strategy into effective campaigns and measurable commercial results.
• Work closely with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team on strategic marketing priorities.
• Lead and develop a team of Marketing Managers and Marketing Coordinators.
• Oversee agency relationships, marketing budgets and key stakeholders.
• Strengthen the portfolio’s positioning within the South African and international wine markets.
• Travel regularly to farms, Gauteng and international markets.
