Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Wind Turbine Technician in the Bloemfontein area to install, inspect, maintain and repair wind turbines. You will work at heights and in varying weather, following safety protocols to ensure optimal turbine performance.

The role requires a technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Wind Turbine Technology, hands-on field service experience, and the ability to travel to sites near Bloemfontein. Training and career advancement opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Wind Turbine Technology.
• Proven field service experience in wind turbines or similar mechanical/electrical roles.
• Ability to work safely at heights and in challenging environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and servicing of wind turbines according to manufacturer guidelines and company procedures.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues within turbine systems.
• Install, commission, and decommission wind turbine components as required.
• Adhere strictly to safety regulations, including working at heights and using lockout/tagout procedures.
• Document all work performed, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, and parts used.

About the Role

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various sites near Bloemfontein.
