Job summary

Groupe CFAO in South Africa is seeking a Wheel Alignment Technician to maintain and balance wheels on vehicles, following service schedules and manufacturer specifications.

The role requires knowledge of camber, caster and towing, good English communication, and a clean criminal record; you will report to the Service Advisor/Manager and use the correct tools.

On-site work in a busy workshop with a focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Sufficient knowledge of camber and caster and towing
• Clean criminal record.
• Verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Carry out wheel alignment on vehicles as per specification starting with tyre pressures.
• Report to Service Advisor/Manager on faulty items, i.e. shocks, wheel bearings etc.
• Balance wheels as required.
• Carry out additional work as per Job Card instruction and ensure that instructions are understood.
• Ask for assistance from the technician should any instruction not be clear.
• Always use the correct tool for the job, including any special tools.
• Carry out all tasks as per service schedules and ensure that these tasks are done according to the required specification, if so instructed to do so by supervisor.
• Ensure that the workshop area (including benches) is clean at all times.
• Report equipment failure, etc., to Service Manager/Advisor.
• Ensure that all requests as per Job Card are carried out 100%.
