Job summary

3C Metal is seeking a Welding Engineering professional to lead welding development, quality assurance and project support. You will manage PQRs, WPQs, NDT programs and welding procedures while coordinating with clients, QA/QC, and site teams to ensure conformance with international codes.

The role requires a strong background in welding engineering with ISO 9001/45001 experience, travel to client sites, and capability to drive continuous improvements in welding productivity and quality.

Qualifications

• BEng in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering with Masters/Honors in Welding Engineering is required; IIW IWE diploma preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant welding engineering experience.
• ISO 9001:2011 (or latest) and ISO 45001 knowledge or certification.

Responsibilities

• Participate in project evaluation and tender support, review welding specs and standards.
• Develop welding procedures: PQRs, Welding Book, WPQs, NDT, testing and analysis.
• Manage PQR and welder qualification registers.
• Evaluate new welding developments for production applicability.
• Lead client/project kickoff meetings and coordinate with QA/QC for project prep.
• Oversee welding quality and productivity across workshop and site.
• Identify root causes and implement welding improvements.
• Coordinate with clients and stakeholders on technical project aspects.
• Direct and coordinate technicians in welding inspections and NDT conformance.
