Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering diploma (NQF L6) or higher (mandatory).
• Welding Inspection Level 2 or equivalent (mandatory).
• Engineering B.Tech qualification advantageous.
• Quality control/assurance certifications advantageous.
• Good understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings.
• Capability to use a broad range of measuring instruments.
• Basic understanding of metal fabrication processes.
• Basic understanding of NDT techniques.
• Good understanding of ISO 5817 standard.
• Understanding the application of welding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that quality requirements as prescribed by customers or specifications are satisfied.
• Coordinate inspection and NDT personnel and activities.
• Support factory activities as guided by management.
