Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a talented Blockchain Developer to join our core team in East London, Eastern Cape. You will design and implement smart contracts, build dApps, and integrate blockchain features into web and mobile apps, collaborating with frontend engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience as a Blockchain Developer or Software Engineer with a strong focus on blockchain.
• Proficiency in Solidity and experience with Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatible chains.
• Experience with blockchain development frameworks like Hardhat, Truffle, or Foundry.
• Familiarity with Web3 libraries (e.g., Ethers.js, Web3.js).
• Understanding of core blockchain concepts, including consensus mechanisms and cryptography.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Located in or willing to relocate to East London, Eastern Cape.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy smart contracts using Solidity and other relevant languages.
• Build and maintain decentralized applications (dApps) on various blockchain networks.
• Integrate blockchain features and functionalities into web and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration of backend blockchain logic.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining high-quality code standards.
• Research and implement new blockchain technologies and protocols.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to smart contracts and dApp functionality.
• Contribute to the architectural design of new blockchain projects and features.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in the Web3 and blockchain ecosystem.
