Placements24 in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, ZA is seeking a Blockchain Engineer to build robust dApps and smart contracts, from concept to deployment. You will work with a cross-functional team to deliver decentralized solutions and engaging user experiences.

The role is hybrid with in-office collaboration and remote flexibility. Proficiency in Solidity, Hardhat/Truffle, React or Vue, ethers.js or web3.js, IPFS, Git, and ERC-20/721 is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven blockchain development experience, especially dApps.
• Strong Solidity knowledge and smart contract tooling (Hardhat/Truffle).
• Frontend skills with React or Vue.js and web3 libraries.
• Solid understanding of blockchain fundamentals and token standards.
• Familiarity with IPFS and oracles is a plus.
• Experience with Git and collaboration in teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy smart contracts using Solidity.
• Build and maintain dApp front-end and back-end components.
• Integrate smart contracts with front-end interfaces and other services.
• Collaborate with UI/UX to ensure great user experiences.
• Optimize performance, security, and scalability of blockchain apps.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure coding standards.
• Stay updated with blockchain tech and document knowledge.
