About the Role:

R17 Ventures is seeking a highly motivated, self-sufficient, and talented individual for the role of Website Developer. This critical hybrid role requires a unique blend of deep Shopify development expertise and strong, clear project management abilities, all while serving as a primary client-facing technical point of contact.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of client website projects on the Shopify platform - from scoping and planning to development, deployment, and optimization. Your success will be defined by your ability to manage project timelines, communicate effectively with both technical teams and non-technical clients, and deliver high-converting, technically sound Shopify solutions that align with strategic marketing goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the full project lifecycle for client and internal Shopify development projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget.
• Act as a primary customer-facing technical resource, translating client business needs and marketing strategies into clear, actionable technical requirements and development plans.
• Define project scope, deliverables, and timelines and manage client expectations proactively through regular, professional communication.
• Coordinate necessary resources (e.g., design, copy) and manage their tasks within the project workflow.
• Develop and implement A/B testing, CRO strategies, and other optimization plans to demonstrably improve conversion rates and user engagement.

2. Shopify Development & Technical Execution

• Implement and manage technical SEO best practices, including site architecture, schema markup, page speed optimization, and core web vitals.
• Ensure the technical integration of essential marketing and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, CRM, email marketing platforms).
• Conduct thorough testing, troubleshoot, and resolve website issues and bugs in a timely manner, taking full ownership of technical quality.
• Manage website performance, security, and scalability for e-commerce success.

3. Self-Sufficiency & Continuous Improvement

• Operate with a high degree of independence and proactive problem-solving, driving projects forward with minimal supervision.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify features, app ecosystem updates, web development trends, and marketing technologies.
• Contribute to the refinement of internal development processes, documentation, and best practice guides.

Qualifications:

• Beneficial: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven, hands‑on experience as a Web Developer with a strong focus on project management and client interaction.
• Deep and dedicated expertise in the Shopify ecosystem (theme development, Liquid, API integration, and app management).
• Exceptional organizational skills with a demonstrable track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Solid understanding of technical SEO and website analytics/CRO principles.
• Highly motivated, self‑sufficient, and results‑oriented mindset - a true problem‑solver who takes initiative.
• Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders (both internally and externally).
