Job summary

Wine Co. in Cape Town seeks a hospitality specialist to deliver exceptional guest experiences through tours, tastings, and destination experiences.

You will maintain in-depth knowledge of our products, prepare cocktails, assist with events and activations, and promote sales while upholding the highest service standards in a dynamic environment. Fluency in English and Afrikaans is required, with flexible hours including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Speak English and Afrikaans.
  • Excellent communication skills; friendly, approachable, and professional when dealing with visitors and staff in person, over the phone, or in writing.
  • Experience in hospitality, tourism, or premium brand environments.
  • Proven sales or retail experience will be an advantage.
  • Proven bar service experience will be an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and cope under pressure.
  • Strong customer service and sales aptitude.
  • Able to work independently and creatively, pre-empting and problem-solving issues as needed.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required by a dynamic environment and events-led operation.

  • Present detailed Distillery Tours and Brandy Tastings.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of our full portfolio of products and the brand-making process.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of cocktail preparation and be able to prepare all cocktails served.
  • Ensure effective stock handling and minimise losses.
  • Promote and sell destination offerings, experiences, and products.
  • Follow company policies and procedures while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Drive Dineplan reviews and database sign-ups.
  • Deliver exceptional hospitality and customer standards at all times.
  • Assist with events, activations, and destination experiences when required.
