Placements24 is seeking passionate Surf School Instructors for Mossel Bay on the scenic South African coast. You will teach surfing to students of all ages and skill levels, ensuring safety and a positive learning experience outdoors.

Ideal candidates hold a valid ISA/SSA Level 1 or higher, have strong surfing skills, and current First Aid/CPR certification. The role offers flexible hours, seasonal opportunities, and access to quality gear.

Qualifications

• Valid Surf Instructor certification required (e.g., ISA/SSA Level 1 or higher).
• Strong surfing skills and knowledge of ocean dynamics.
• Experience teaching or coaching, preferably in surfing or water sports.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safe and effective surfing lessons for individuals and groups.
• Ensure participant safety in and around the water, following safety protocols.
• Provide clear instructions on surfing techniques and surf etiquette.
• Maintain surf equipment and safety gear in good condition.
• Promote a fun, encouraging, and supportive learning environment.

Our client, a popular surf school located on the scenic coast of Mossel Bay, is looking for passionate and certified Surf School Instructors to join their dynamic team. You will be responsible for teaching surfing techniques to students of all ages and skill levels, ensuring their safety and fostering a positive learning experience. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct safe and effective surfing lessons for individuals and groups, adapting to various skill levels.
• Ensure the safety of all participants in and around the water, adhering to strict safety protocols.
• Provide clear and concise instructions on surfing techniques, ocean awareness, and surf etiquette.
• Maintain surf equipment, including boards and safety gear, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Promote a fun, encouraging, and supportive learning environment for all students.

Requirements

• Valid Surf Instructor certification (e.g., ISA, SSA Level 1 or higher).
• Proficient surfing skills and strong knowledge of ocean dynamics and surf forecasting.
• Previous experience in teaching or coaching, preferably in surfing or a related water sport.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse age groups.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification is mandatory.
