Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an energetic Watersports Activity Coordinator to manage and lead all aquatic activities at a popular resort in Richards Bay. You will run the watersports centre, ensure guest safety, and deliver memorable experiences along the KwaZulu-Natal coast.

You will train and supervise instructors, manage equipment, schedule activities such as kayaking, paddleboarding, and sailing, and uphold strict safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing watersports operations or a similar leadership role.
• Certifications in lifesaving, first aid, and CPR are mandatory.
• Watersport certifications (e.g., RYA, PADI) are advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of watersports equipment, safety standards and operations.
• Excellent organizational, leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm in emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the watersports centre, including equipment management, safety checks, and staff supervision.
• Develop, schedule, and promote watersports activities (kayaking, paddleboarding, sailing).
• Ensure safety regulations and emergency procedures for aquatic environments.
• Train and manage a team of watersports instructors.

About the Role

Our client is looking for an energetic and experienced Watersports Activity Coordinator to manage and lead all aquatic activities at their popular resort in Richards Bay . This role requires a passion for water-based recreation and a strong ability to organize, supervise, and ensure the safety of participants across various watersports. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the watersports centre, ensuring a memorable and safe experience for all guests, contributing significantly to the resort's recreational offerings and guest satisfaction in KwaZulu-Natal .

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the watersports centre, including equipment management, safety checks, and staff supervision.
• Develop, schedule, and promote a variety of engaging watersports activities (e.g., kayaking, paddleboarding, sailing).
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations and emergency procedures for aquatic environments.
