Placements24 is seeking a skilled Water Resources Engineer to join its team in Gauteng, South Africa. The role focuses on planning, designing, and implementing sustainable water supply systems, wastewater treatment facilities, and stormwater solutions across the province.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Water Resources or Environmental Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration with ECSA.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in water resources engineering, including design and project management.
• Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software and CAD tools.
• Experience with environmental impact assessments and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies and develop conceptual designs for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Perform hydraulic modeling and analysis for water distribution networks, river systems, and floodplains.
• Design water treatment processes, pumping stations, and pipeline networks.
• Develop and implement stormwater management plans and sustainable urban drainage systems (SUDS).
• Prepare technical specifications, tender documents, and project cost estimates.
• Ensure all designs comply with environmental regulations and standards.
