Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Project Engineer in Centurion, Gauteng, to lead end-to-end water infrastructure projects from concept to commissioning. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage scope, budget and schedule, and ensure high-quality delivery in line with SA standards. The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree with Pr. Eng./Pr.

Tech. Eng. registration and at least 7 years of progressive project management experience in water/wastewater systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• PR Eng. or Pr. Tech. Eng. registration with ECSA required.
• 7+ years progressive civil engineering project management experience, water infrastructure focus.
• Experience managing large-scale, complex projects with strong leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, design, procurement, and construction phases of water and wastewater projects.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and resources.
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors and regulators.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes and environmental regs.
• Conduct site visits, progress meetings and technical reviews.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and implement controls.
• Prepare progress and close-out reports and project documentation.
• Maintain clear communication among stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance throughout the project duration.
• Promote best practices in project management and civil engineering.
