Job summary

Amana Living invites applications for a part-time Kitchenhand at Kinross Care Centre, Lake House. You will assist with food preparation, plating, serving and maintaining clean, hygienic kitchen spaces to support residents' comfort.

Shifts are set: Week 1 Tue/Wed/Sun 07:00–15:00 and Week 2 Thu 07:00–15:00, totaling 30 hours per fortnight. Commitment to all shifts is essential, with induction at Rivervale Training Institute.

Qualifications

• Evidence of current flu vaccination as per Amana Living policy.
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance within 6 months.
• Successful completion of pre-employment medical and reference checks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and plate food, serve and clear away meals in line with food preparation schedules.
• Maintain the food preparation and serving areas to hygiene standards.
• Maintain appropriate resident interactions in line with the organisation's values.
• Consider resident lifestyles and personal choice.
• Maintain effective interpersonal relationships with others.
• Collect all temperature and cleaning records for the week and place in managers basket for checking and signing.
• Record any dietary changes on master print out.
• Check on stock requirements and replenish shopping supplies as necessary.
• As required replenish shopping supplies which are specific and not currently available from usual supplier.
