Job summary

Amana Living is seeking a part-time Kitchenhand and Cleaner based at Kinross Care Centre Beach House. You will support meal preparation, keep the kitchen clean, and interact warmly with residents, families, and staff to create moments of comfort.

The role involves 26.5 hours per fortnight with rostered shifts and requires a positive, collaborative approach to care. Applicants should be vaccinated, able to obtain police clearance, and complete pre-employment checks including induction at

Qualifications

• Evidence of current Flu vaccination per Amana Living policies.
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity).
• Successful completion of pre-employment medical and reference checks.
• Proven organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, as required.
• Willingness to attend 2 day paid induction at our Rivervale Training Institute.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and plate food, serve and clear away meals in line with food preparation schedules.
• Maintain the food preparation and serving areas to state hygiene standards.
• Maintain appropriate resident interactions in line with the organizational values.
• Consider resident lifestyles and personal choice.
• Maintain effective interpersonal relationships with others.
• Collect all temperature and cleaning records for the week and place in managers basket for checking and signing.
• Record any dietary changes on master print out.
• Check on stock requirements, e.g. bread, milk, OJ, yoghurt and change as necessary.
• As required replenish shopping supplies which are specific and not currently available from usual supplier.
