Job summary

Amana Living is seeking a Kitchenhand based at Frederick Guest Hostel in Bull Creek to provide warm, caring meals and maintain a clean, organized kitchen. This permanent part-time role requires a reliable commitment to all shifts across two alternating weeks, totaling 31.5 hours per fortnight.

You will prepare, serve and clear meals, keep hygiene standards, and support residents with consideration for individual needs while adhering to organisational values.

Qualifications

• Evidence of Current Flu vaccination per Amana Living policies
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity)
• Successful completion of pre-employment medical and reference checks
• NDIS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
• Proven organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, as required
• Willingness to attend 2 day paid induction at our Rivervale Training Institute

Responsibilities

• Prepare and plate food, serve and clear away meals in line with food preparation schedules.
• Maintain the food preparation and serving areas to state hygiene standards.
• Maintain appropriate resident interactions in line with the organizational values.
• Consider resident lifestyles and personal choice.
• Maintain effective interpersonal relationships with others.
• Collect all temperature and cleaning records for the week and place in managers basket for checking and signing.
• Record any dietary changes on master print out.
• Check on stock requirements, e.g. bread, milk, OJ, yoghurt and change as necessary.
• As required replenish shopping supplies which are specific and not currently available from usual supplier.
