Placements24 is seeking a proactive Warehouse Team Leader to manage a section of the Vereeniging facility. You will supervise a small team, oversee picking, packing and dispatch, and ensure safety and quality standards are met daily.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead or supervise a small team.
• Strong understanding of picking, packing and shipping operations.
• Familiarity with basic safety procedures in a warehouse.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and guide team members.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Located within commuting distance of Vereeniging.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide a team of warehouse staff in their daily tasks.
• Ensure efficient and accurate order picking, packing, and dispatch operations.
• Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback and support.
• Enforce all safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness within the assigned warehouse area.
• Assist in training new team members on procedures and best practices.
• Report on team productivity and any operational issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Address minor operational challenges and elevate complex issues as needed.
• Conduct regular checks of equipment and ensure its proper use.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse.
