Job summary

Placements24 in Welkom is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to supervise a busy team and oversee order processing, picking, packing, and dispatch. You will guide and support your team to meet daily targets, while promoting a productive and safe workspace.

The role requires experience leading warehouse teams, strong communication, and a solid understanding of inventory management and health and safety practices. You will report to the Warehouse Manager and contribute to continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Warehouse Team Leader or supervisory role.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Understanding of warehouse operations including order fulfillment and inventory management.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices in a warehouse setting.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse operatives to achieve performance goals.
• Ensure efficient processing of incoming and outgoing goods, including accurate picking and packing of orders.
• Monitor workflow and operational efficiency, making adjustments to meet deadlines.
• Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety procedures and conducting regular checks.
• Assist with inventory counts and ensure accuracy of stock records.
• Communicate with the Warehouse Manager on team performance and improvements.
