Job summary

Abantu Staffing Solutions (Pty) Ltd in Port Elizabeth is seeking a Warehouse Controller with mid-career experience to oversee stock control across multiple warehouses and ensure FIFO compliance.

You will coordinate daily stock movements, assist with SOPs, and liaise with production, quality, and logistics teams to optimise warehouse operations and accuracy. The role requires attention to detail and strong admin skills for inventory records and reporting.

Qualifications

• Mid Career (2-4 yrs exp) in warehousing or stock control.
• Experience with stock counting and FIFO is preferred.
• Able to maintain SOPs and assist in process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Weekly stock counting across all warehouses and report discrepancies.
• Move daily stock from production to designated warehouses per plan.
• Record stock and expiry dates in systems.
• Coordinate and maintain SOPs for stock control and create visual aids for staff.
• Coordinate on-hold, re-work, and restricted stock across warehouses.
• Coordinate repacking of non-conforming stock with team and supervisor.
• Inspect finished goods returns with lab and warehouse admin.
• Collaborate with quality to release finished goods stock.
• Liaise with warehouse leaders about stock releases for trucks.
• Ensure FIFO for finished goods in all warehouses.
• Inspect warehouse conditions and report damages to supervisor/manager.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of MHE.
