Job summary

PSM Personnel represents a pharmaceutical client seeking a Warehouse Pharmacist to uphold warehouse quality systems and ensure compliant warehousing and distribution activities in line with regulatory and operational requirements.

The role focuses on maintaining SOPs, managing deviations, CAPAs, and audits while ensuring temperature-controlled conditions and accurate stock control within a pharmaceutical distribution environment.

Qualifications

• BPharm degree is required.
• Active membership with the SAPC.
• 2-3 years' experience as a Warehouse Pharmacist.
• GWP/GDP training is essential.
• Experience within a pharmaceutical distribution/wholesale environment.
• More than 1 year of QA experience.
• Knowledge of validation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Maintain warehouse quality systems including SOPs.
• Manage deviations, CAPAs and change controls through closure.
• Train staff on GWP requirements and SOPs.
• Coordinate audits and warehouse readiness for regulatory reviews.
• Oversee warehouse validation projects and calibration.
• Monitor temperature/humidity and excursions.
• Oversee receiving, dispatching, cycle counts and stock control.
• Coordinate product sampling, stock investigations and destruction.
• Run warehouse risk assessments and participate in Quality Reviews.

Job description

Our client in the pharmaceutical industry is seeking a Warehouse Pharmacist to support the maintenance of warehouse quality systems and ensure pharmaceutical warehousing and distribution activities are conducted in accordance with applicable quality, regulatory and operational requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain warehouse quality systems, including the creation, review, implementation and updating of SOPs.

• Manage warehouse deviations, CAPAs and change controls, including tracking through to successful closure and implementation.

• Train warehouse staff on GWP requirements and applicable SOPs.

• Conduct self-inspections, coordinate third-party audits and ensure warehouse readiness for regulatory and professional audits.

• Coordinate warehouse validation projects, equipment calibration and applicable technical agreements.

• Monitor temperature and humidity conditions and manage temperature excursions/out-of-specification conditions.

• Monitor warehouse operations, including receiving, dispatching, cycle counts and stock control.

• Coordinate product sampling, stock investigations and the destruction of goods.

• Initiate warehouse risk assessments and participate in Quality Management Reviews.

• Compile compliance and stock reports and support stock counts and other warehouse projects.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• BPharm degree.

• Active membership with the SAPC.

• 2-3 years' experience as a Warehouse Pharmacist.

• Experience within a pharmaceutical distribution/wholesale environment.

• More than 1 year of QA experience.
