Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee their extensive warehouse facilities supporting manufacturing in Soweto, Gauteng . This leadership role is responsible for managing all aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory management, logistics, staff supervision, and ensuring the efficient flow of materials to and from production lines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, a proven ability to optimize warehouse processes, and excellent leadership skills. Your strategic oversight will be crucial in maintaining operational efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring the timely availability of materials essential for our client's manufacturing success.
Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping. Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize discrepancies. Oversee a team of warehouse staff, providing training, motivation, and performance management. Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment. Implement and manage warehouse systems and technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics departments to ensure seamless material flow.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in warehouse management or logistics, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Proven experience in inventory control , warehouse layout optimization, and logistics planning. Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate staff. Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP software. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills . A degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is highly preferred.
