About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and results-driven Logistics Operations Manager to lead their logistics function in the vibrant area of Soweto. This role is responsible for the overall management of the logistics department, including warehousing, transportation, and supply chain optimization. You will develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of goods, while managing a team of logistics professionals. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to manage operations effectively, with opportunities for remote strategic planning and on-site oversight, driving excellence across all logistical touchpoints in the Gauteng province.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of logistics operations, including warehousing and transportation.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the logistics team to achieve departmental goals.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a management role.
• Proven track record of successfully optimizing logistics operations and reducing costs.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS).
• Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
