Placements24 is seeking an experienced Distribution Centre Supervisor to lead the team in Paarl, Western Cape. The role involves overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch while maintaining high safety and productivity standards.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, knowledge of warehouse management principles, and the ability to drive process improvements in a busy distribution centre.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a supervisor or manager in a warehouse or distribution centre.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management and logistics.
• Excellent leadership, communication and people skills.
• Ability to motivate and manage a team to meet targets.
• Knowledge of health and safety best practices in a warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct warehouse staff to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Manage inventory levels and stock rotation.
• Oversee receiving, warehousing and distribution operations for smooth workflow.
• Enforce health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to staff.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
