Job summary

Oxyon People Solutions is seeking an experienced Warehouse Controller to oversee finished goods operations in a manufacturing environment. The role focuses on receiving, storage, inventory control, packing and dispatch, while leading warehouse staff to meet production deadlines.

You will ensure accurate stock records, implement 5S and continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with Production, Quality, Planning, Procurement, Logistics and Sales to maintain high productivity and safety

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent – Essential.
• Diploma or Certificate in Warehouse Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field advantageous.
• 3–5 years' experience in warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Experience with injection moulding, plastics or manufacturing advantageous.
• Experience with WMS and/or ERP systems advantageous.
• Good Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong stock control and inventory management experience.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
• Knowledge of 5S, Lean or continuous improvement advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate warehouse and packing staff.
• Plan and monitor receiving, storage, packing and dispatch of finished goods.
• Ensure products are correctly counted, picked, packed, labelled and dispatched.
• Maintain accurate stock records and conduct regular stock counts.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
• Ensure correct stock rotation, including FIFO where applicable.
• Monitor finished goods quality and address damaged or non-conforming products.
• Maintain product traceability, labelling and warehouse documentation.
• Allocate work and manage employee attendance, performance and discipline.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping and warehouse organisation.
• Prepare and monitor warehouse performance reports.
• Investigate warehouse-related customer complaints and implement corrective action.
• Support audits and ISO Quality Management Systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, productivity and stock accuracy.
• Support 5S, Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, Planning, Procurement, Logistics and Sales.
