About the Role

Our client, a dynamic enterprise within the Logistics & Warehousing domain, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Controller to join their strategic team in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. This role is pivotal in overseeing the day-to-day operational efficiency of the warehouse, ensuring optimal workflow, resource allocation, and adherence to stringent quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical acumen, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and best practices. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, blending essential on-site oversight with the flexibility of remote work, based in the scenic environs of Stellenbosch. You will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring the smooth functioning of all warehouse activities, from inbound receipts to outbound shipments. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and dispatch.


• Implement and enforce operational policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.


• Utilize WMS and other systems to track inventory, manage orders, and optimize space utilization.


• Analyze operational performance data and identify areas for improvement.


• Coordinate with different departments (e.g., inventory, transportation, customer service) to ensure seamless operations.


• Manage workforce planning and scheduling to meet operational demands.


• Oversee inventory accuracy and implement control measures to minimize discrepancies.


• Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions promptly.


• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company standards.


• Lead and motivate the warehouse operations team to achieve performance targets.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations management or a similar role.


• Proven experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control techniques.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
