Job summary

Hire Resolve is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead warehouse operations in Pretoria. You will oversee stock control, GRNs, and a safe, organized storeroom while supervising the warehouse team to meet daily requirements.

Key duties include cycle counts, stock receiving, issuing, inter-branch transfers, and maintaining accurate stock documentation, with a strong focus on health and safety and efficient workflow improvements.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12/Matric and forklift licence required.
  • 3–5 years in stores/warehouse supervisory role.
  • Experience with inventory management systems; Fenya a plus.
  • Strong health and safety knowledge.

Job description

A leading renewable energy company is looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager with strong experience in warehouse operations, stock management, inventory control, and team supervision to join their team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and secure operation of the storeroom, ensuring accurate stock control, safe working practices, and the timely receiving, picking, issuing, and returning of stock to support operational requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee physical stock counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Receive stock and process GRNs on the inventory management system.
  • Issue stock against job cards and manage attic stock replenishment.
  • Process inter-branch transfers and stock returns.
  • Record serial numbers for panels, batteries, inverters, and other relevant equipment.
  • Verify and record stock returned by operational teams.
  • Ensure accurate picking and packing of stock according to daily job requirements.
  • Assist with investigating and resolving stock variances.
  • Maintain a neat, organized, secure, and well-maintained storeroom.
  • Oversee forklift maintenance and ensure safe operation.
  • Ensure required health and safety signage is maintained.
  • Organize and delegate duties to warehouse and stores staff.
  • Supervise daily activities and stock counts.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Compile and file job packs and maintain accurate stock documentation.
  • Process stock requests and ensure all stock movements are accurately recorded.
  • Plan and coordinate warehousing activities to improve workflow and operational efficiency.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and processes to support productivity.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
  • Valid forklift licence with practical experience.
  • 3–5 years' experience in a stores or warehouse supervisory role.
  • Experience with inventory management systems; Fenya experience will be advantageous.
  • Experience with GRNs, stock counts, stock issuing, receiving, and inventory control.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and investigative abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Computer literate, with proficiency in MS Office and inventory software.
