Job summary

FlySafair is recruiting a Warehouse Assistant at our Head Office in Bonaero Park. The successful candidate reports to the Warehouse Supervisor (Inventory Control) and will move, process, and organize inventory while maintaining accurate logs and preparing items for delivery.

Role requires Grade 12, 1–2 years admin experience, and willingness to work overtime and 24-hour shifts. Occupational safety and ERP familiarity are advantageous for efficiency and audits.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent required (Essential).
• 1–2 years administration experience in a mid-size organisation (Essential).
• Warehouse Training certification and related certifications (Advantageous).
• Knowledge of ERP systems (Advantageous).
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to multitask and work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Move inventory and materials across facilities.
• Process inventory for delivery.
• Sort, organize and store inventory in the proper location.
• Package items and label correctly.
• Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisors.
• Stack and organize large bulk items.
• Update logs and documentation for inventory processing.
• Direct and conduct routine warehouse cleaning tasks.
• Monitor and manage inventory control.
• Perform warehouse inventory controls and ensure audits pass.
• Handle delicate and sensitive products with care.
• Operate tools and SOP-compliant warehouse equipment.
• Follow quality service standards and SOPs.
• Perform daily cycle counts and resolve discrepancies with Inventory Clerk.

Key Responsibilities

• Move inventory and materials across facilities
• Process inventory for delivery
• Sort, organize and store inventory in the proper location
• Package items and label it correctly
• Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisors
• Stack and organize large bulk items
• Update logs and documentation for inventory processing
• Direct and conduct routine warehouse cleaning tasks
• Monitor and manage inventory control
• Perform warehouse inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
• Handle delicate and sensitive products with utmost care to avoid damages
• Handle and operate necessary tools and accessories in maintaining and managing a warehouse in line with SOPs
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
• Perform daily cycle counts and work with the Inventory Clerk to resolve any discrepancies
