Job summary

Crew Life at Sea Ltd. seeks a fluent German-speaking waiter to join our onboard dining team. You will greet guests, take orders, and ensure a seamless guest experience across our restaurants and dining areas.

This full-time role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a dynamic cruise environment. Accommodation and meals onboard are provided, with training and development opportunities and employee discounts on travel and other services.

Qualifications

Position: Waiter (German Speaking)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Waiter who is fluent in German to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our guests in our onboard restaurants and dining areas. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers the opportunity to work and travel in a dynamic and exciting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests and assist them with seating arrangements
• Present menus and take orders from guests in a timely and efficient manner
• Provide recommendations and answer any questions about menu items
• Serve food and beverages to guests according to company standards
• Monitor guest satisfaction and address any issues or concerns
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area
• Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
• Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and hygienic dining experience for guests
• Attend and participate in training sessions and meetings as required

Qualifications:

• Fluent in German (both written and verbal)
• Previous experience as a waiter or in the hospitality industry preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer service skills and a friendly, outgoing personality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to obtain necessary travel documents and work permits
