Placements24 is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to manage our client’s volunteer program in a hybrid Durban-based role. You will recruit, train, schedule, and support volunteers who sustain essential services and community impact.

The role emphasizes people management, a positive volunteer experience, and smooth operation of activities. The ideal candidate has experience in volunteer management or HR, strong organization, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in volunteer management, HR, or program coordination.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to motivate diverse individuals.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, screen, and onboard new volunteers, including orientation and training.
• Develop and manage volunteer schedules to ensure coverage for all programs and events.
• Provide ongoing support and supervision to volunteers and address concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate volunteer records and track hours and contributions.
• Organize volunteer appreciation events and initiatives to recognize contributions.
