Placements24 is seeking a remote Event Planner & Catering Coordinator to manage diverse events from conception to completion, entirely from a remote location. You will be the main client contact, guiding them through planning, coordinating catering, vendors, and budget considerations.

The role requires superb organization, proactive problem solving, and excellent communication with clients and vendors around Port Elizabeth and beyond.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in event planning and coordination.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for remote client interaction.
• Familiarity with event management software and virtual collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of event planning, including venue selection (where applicable), vendor coordination, and timeline management.
• Develop creative event concepts and detailed proposals tailored to client needs and budgets.
• Coordinate all catering requirements, including menu selection, tastings, and liaising with chosen caterers.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients throughout the planning process, providing updates and addressing concerns promptly.
• Oversee event execution virtually, troubleshooting issues in real-time and ensuring a smooth attendee experience.
• Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial aspects are handled accurately.
