Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Early Years Behavioural Support Specialist to support educators and parents of children aged 2-6, applying child psychology and behavioural development expertise from a home office. The role involves virtual consultations, designing tailored behaviour intervention plans, and delivering online training.

Strong remote communication, empathy and professionalism are essential to help diverse settings improve well-being and learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Psychology, Child Development, Special Education, Counselling, or a related field.
• Professional registration or licensure as appropriate for the field (e.g., Psychologist, Behaviour Analyst, Certified Counsellor).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working directly with young children (2-6 years) with behavioural challenges.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing behavioural intervention strategies.
• Demonstrated proficiency in conducting virtual consultations and delivering online training.
• Excellent communication, empathy, and active listening skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and maintain professionalism in a remote setting.
• Strong understanding of child development, learning theories, and positive discipline techniques.
• Familiarity with common behavioural challenges in early childhood.

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual behavioural support and consultation to educators and parents.
• Assess children's behavioural patterns and identify underlying causes and triggers.
• Develop individualized behaviour intervention plans (BIPs) for children exhibiting challenging behaviours.
• Offer practical strategies and techniques for managing and redirecting behaviour effectively.
• Conduct online workshops and training sessions for educators and parents on behavioural support.
• Collaborate with educational teams to implement consistent approaches to behaviour management.
• Maintain confidential records of consultations, assessments, and intervention plans.
• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in early childhood behaviour and psychology.
• Create and share resources related to positive behaviour support for early years.
• Utilize telehealth platforms effectively for client interactions and support.
