Job summary

Sasol Limited is seeking a Vetting Officer for Secunda Operations to execute and coordinate vetting and risk management activities in line with the Security Strategy. The role ensures compliance with legislation, Sasol standards, and the Pre-Employment Screening Work Instruction, while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

The ideal candidate will have Grade 12, a valid Code B driver’s license, and 0–5 years’ relevant experience in security or vetting.

• Experience with vetting or risk management is advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Execute vetting and risk management processes to support secure access control within Secunda Operations.
• Conduct pre-employment screening and access risk assessments in accordance with established procedures and standards.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company security requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to vetting activities and access risk decisions.
• Collaborate with Security Management, Investigations, Human Resources, RM, Commercial, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient and consistent vetting processes.
• Support continuous improvement of vetting practices by identifying and implementing best security practices.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information in accordance with company policies and applicable legislation.
• Provide professional customer service while managing stakeholder expectations.
