Job summary

Sasol is a global integrated chemicals and energy company with a long-standing heritage. The Vetting Officer role is based in Secunda, Mpumalanga, and focuses on executing and coordinating vetting and risk management activities in line with the Security Strategy.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) is required.
• Valid Code B Driver's Licence is required.
• 0–5 years' relevant experience in security, vetting, access control or related field is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Exceptional minute-taking and scribing skills.
• Strong organizational and digital filing capabilities.
• Understanding of security risk management principles.

Responsibilities

• Execute vetting and risk management processes to support secure access control within Secunda Operations.
• Conduct pre-employment screening and access risk assessments in accordance with procedures and standards.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company security requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to vetting activities and access risk decisions.
• Collaborate with Security Management, Investigations, Human Resources, RM, Commercial, and other stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement of vetting practices by identifying best security practices.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information per policies.
