Qualifications

• Requires experience in developing, implementing and evaluating management systems and databases.
• Must be medically fit to work in the mining environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with legal reporting requirements for ventilation and occupational hygiene.
• Perform annual updating, recording and reporting of occupational exposure histories.
• Provide information on ventilation and occupational hygiene matters for specific workplaces.
• Advise on changes to plans, procedures and standards to minimize unsafe work practices.
• Maintain compliance with Mine Health and Safety Act provisions at the business area level.
