Job summary

Sibanye Stillwater seeks an experienced Health & Safety Supervisor to promote and monitor compliance with H&S standards within a mining business unit. The role emphasizes planning, audits, and continuous improvement in safety performance.

Responsibilities include coordinating safety projects, maintaining ISO 14001 standards, and ensuring reporting to regulatory bodies, with a focus on driving safety excellence and cost-effective management of H&S programs.

Qualifications

Exceptional communication skills across written, verbal and presentations.
At least 5 years’ experience as Supervisor Health & Safety or at supervisory level.
Possess NQF 6 Health & Safety/Risk/Mining or related Engineering qualification OR OHS Practice in Mining (WCL2).
Clear security screening record and valid driver’s license (if applicable).

Responsibilities

Implement, certify and maintain ISO 14001 Health and Safety systems with policies and procedures.
Schedule and conduct periodic H&S audits and inspections across units.
Monitor H&S performance indicators and report to regulators.
Coordinate H&S projects, secure approvals, scope and finance.
Conduct research on new technology to improve H&S outcomes.
